Nida GAIDAUSKIENĖ - PhD, researcher. Culture historian and critic. Graduated from Vilnius University and Klaipėda University with master’s degrees (both of her MA dissertations were awarded prizes). Defended her doctoral thesis on Lithuanian aesthetics at the turn of the 20th century at the Lithuanian Culture Research Institute. From 2009 till 2012, took internships and was on study visits to the Department of Polish Studies at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow, Poland, and the Department of Philosophy and Arts as well as the Institute of Central and East European Studies in Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. Since 2016 works in the Department of Comparative Research of Cultures of the Lithuanian Culture Research Institute. Member of Lithuanian Aesthetitians’ Association (since 2007).
The field of her scholarly interest covers regionalistics and comparative culture studies, aesthetic ideas, literature and cultural contexts at the turn of the twentieth century in East-Central Europe and Lithuania.
